Bańska Wyżna A picturesque village

Bańska Wyżna is a calm and picturesque village in the heart of Podhale Region.

It is one of the highest situated villages in Poland. The local houses are heated with geothermal water what influences the exceptionally fresh air.

It the village live approximately 600 citizens who foster local traditions and dialect.


On the meadows are grazed sheep and cattle; in the neighbourhood you can buy genuine sheep cheese.

Many tourists visit nearby situated thermal pools, Gorący Potok and Termy Szaflary and in the distance of 15 km is to find „Aqua Park „in Zakopane and „Bania Therms” in Białka Tatrzańska.

When yoy need some entertainment, you can go to a local brewery "Zadyma" and taste some regional food, drink freshly brewed beer or play bowling.



Bańska Wyżna is also an ideal place for skiing lovers. Most of the ski- and chair lifts and skiing centres are situated within the distance of dozen of kilometres, for example: Białka Tatrzańska, Bukowina Tatrzańska, Zakopane, Nowy Targ, Ząb, Małe Ciche are famous for the best skiing centres in Poland.

An excellent idea is a trip to Niedzica, where you can find a park of minatures and a Spiska Kraina, ropes course or cross Dunajec River Gorge by a rafter boat or by a pontoon. You can also visit two castles in Czorsztyn and Niedzica.
